No Canadian has won the Canadian Open since 1954, but Graham DeLaet is in a position to end the drought.
The Weyburn native sits four shots off the lead at the midway mark of the tournament after shooting back-to-back four under 68’s.
His score of 136 (8 under par) leaves him four back of leader Martin Flores going into Saturday’s play at Glen Abbey.
DeLaet is one of two Canadians to have made the cut with the other being McKenzie Hughes who is also at 8 under.
DeLaet is scheduled to tee off just before 10 AM Saturday morning.
