If Rider fans were wondering when Duron Carter would break out, wonder no more.
On a scorching Saturday at Mosaic Stadium where the game-time temperature at kickoff was 31 degrees with the on-field temperature in the mid 40’s, the Riders beat Toronto 38-27.
Carter was the story as he had two touchdown catches on a night where he grabbed 9 balls for 131 yards, it was his first touchdown at the end of the first half which is the talk of many.
Carter hauled in the pass from Kevin Glenn one-handed and backhanded with an Argos defensive back on him to send a sold-out crowd into a frenzied state.
Naaman Roosevelt and Caleb Holley caught the other TD passes from Kevin Glenn who threw for 340 yards while Cameron Marshall ran for 110 yards.
The Riders are now 2-3 on the season. They will take Sunday and Monday off before getting ready for their next game which goes August 5 in Vancouver against the B.C. Lions.
