The Prairie Football Conference season begins Saturday with the Regina Thunder hoping to knock their provincial rivals, the Saskatoon Hilltops off the top of the ladder.
They will get a perfect chance to start that quest as they are home to the team that has won six of the last seven league and Canadian junior football titles in a 7 o’clock start at Mosaic Stadium.
The two teams played three times last season with Saskatoon winning all three by a combined total of six points including a 25-24 semi-final win in a game where the Thunder had a chance to win only to miss a last-play field goal.
The game will be the first for the Thunder at Mosaic Stadium as they become the last Regina team to play a game in the new home of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Those wanting to go can get tickets by going to Gate 1.
