Start the week off with orange food! Yes, Lewis returns and its back on to Hawkins Cheezies as a morning staple. Wow, what does that say about the world of broadcasting and our health!
I think its the crunchy texture of these finger sized chunks of orange goodness. When teamed up with Coke or Pepsi, they sparkle that much brighter.
Okay, what I really should be having is carrots this morning. How is your garden looking this August. So much fresh bounty to be gathered from gardens or the local market.
Do you find produce has gotten a bit expensive over the past couple of summers. Have you tried growing your own produce?
While I detested picking weeds as a kid, I know can tolerate the process. And when you get the fresh baby potatoes, carrots and sweet peas and tasty onions, who wouldn’t want to have a garden. The effort is worth it.
Berry picking in the truest sense is time consuming, exhausting and sometimes fun! If only you knew where to go to find those great big plump Saskatoon’s. U pick farms are a very popular thing, I guess any thing to keep pickers off of your land. How much fun it used to be wandering to the pasture looking for those delightful characters!
Before things go as bad as the peaches I bought, I need to have a massive supper and use up the small potatoes, the fresh corn, beets and their greens and lettuce. Sounds pretty good doesn’t it!
