Yesterday morning I took Max for a run at the dog park. We both got some exercise. His exercise was running around that big park, while mine was an exercise in patience.
Lewvan Drive became a bottleneck at 13th Ave. where traffic was merged into two way traffic in the northbound lanes. Traffic was clogged up something awful at the intersection of Lewvan and Sask. Dr. There were vehicles that tried to get through green lights but couldn’t, so they were stranded in the middle of the intersection waiting for things to move along. That meant that other vehicles that had a green light in another direction couldn’t proceed because these idiots were stuck in the middle of the intersection. It was a mess. There’s never a good time for road construction on one of the busiest roads in Regina. Thank goodness I was turning off at 13th!
Coming into work this morning there was a small car that passed me while I was heading up Albert St. It moved into the lane I was driving in before slowing down to about 30. Then he was off like a bat out of hell until he hit a red light. I was still behind him when the light turned green, at which time he proceeded along at 30 again for half a block before zooming away on me again. What in the world was going through this guys mind? I’m still amazed at the number of idiots that travel the streets at 3 A.M. I see it every morning!
The difference between road construction and bad drivers is, at least road construction will finally come to an end. Dumb drivers will be around forever!
