Tina Beaudry-Mellor may have some company Saturday in the Saskatchewan Party leadership race as one of the people expected to announce their candidacy is making an announcement.
A short press release issued late Friday afternoon indicates current minister of the Economy, Jeremy Harrison, will be making statements on the leadership race Saturday morning.
Harrison, who is a close ally of Conservative leader and Regina MP Andrew Scheer, is considered as someone who plays well to the Saskatchewan Party’s conservative roots.
Harrison represents the riding of Meadow Lake, and before getting into provincial politics was an MP for the northern Saskatchewan riding of Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River from 2004-2006.
He has been the MLA for Meadow Lake since 2007.
