I finally booked an appointment to get my vehicle checked out next week. Recall notices have been coming at a fast and furious rate over the last year. I really forget what the first one was about. The notice stated I should keep it in the glove compartment should something go wrong, so that’s where it went. It’s been so long I actually forgot it was in there.
A couple of months ago I received another recall notice informing me that there could be something that was left in my engine at the point of manufacturing that could cause the engine to stall while traveling at high speeds. The recall said the company was setting up procedures on ways to get that problem addressed and another notice would be forthcoming letting me know when I had the all clear to book my vehicle in. I finally got that notice the other day and booked my vehicle in for the checkup next Thursday.
When I booked my appointment, the lady on the other end of the phone said that there were actually three things that needed to be checked out. Wow. Three? Looks like I missed something along the way. I only counted two. Looks like I’ll have to pay closer attention to the mail!
Don’t forget, school starts on Tuesday and that means no right turns on a red light in a school zone. I just noticed this law a couple of years ago, but I follow it faithfully now. I’ve had more than a few occasions where I’ve waited to turn right on a red light only to have some yahoo behind me honking his horn because I wasn’t turning when he thought it was clear to do so. Hey, I can’t get mad at the guy for honking. I was probably that yahoo a few years ago!
It’s hard to believe we’re down to the last long weekend of the summer!
Enjoy it kids!
