It’s been a job held by millions throughout the years. Delivering pizzas. Some do it as their first job, other’s do it as a part time job, and some need it to make ends meet in these tough economic times we live in.
Dominoes has teamed up with Ford to start testing driverless pizza delivery cars. They will begin testing these cars in Ann Arbour, Michigan to see how they perform and how the public will respond to them. Under the plan, a pizza delivery person would no longer come to your door. Instead, you’ll have to walk out to the car, punch in a code to open the door, then take your pizza from the special heat compartment they have built in.
I still prefer that human touch and being able to talk to somebody just in case the order wasn’t quite right. The best thing about pizza delivery people was the fact you didn’t have to leave the house, especially on a cold prairie winter night! It’s nothing more than a test at this point in time to see how driverless delivery cars perform. I just hope the new slogan isn’t “If your pizza isn’t there in 30 minutes, then our car has probably crashed!”
