From one end of the spectrum to the other. Two artists that I enjoy and two different relationships to their music, both of them doing what they want with their craft.
Blake Berglund is hitting the road to the United States. Hey, it’s what you do if you want to test your metal OR vinyl. The album, “Realms” has been released and with a full heart, the work being done, Blake and Co are on the road.
You can down load “Realms” from Apple. Read the review, watch a video for Crooked Old Earth with this link. Crooked Old World, Realms
Enjoy, BB, an exciting and eye opening venture awaits. After knowing Blake for a few years, I imagine this to be like Jack Kerouac’s travel odyssey “On The Road”!
Can’t wait to read the Facebook and Instagram posts.
Another artist that keeps people thinking, on their toes and markets in a non-mainstream / mainstream fashion (could it be the norm soon) would be Eric Church.
True to his fan base, Church is releasing a look back at the HOLDING MY OWN TOUR. Solid Church at each and every show across the United States and Canada. It is a great packaging of his music.
The Saskatchewan show in Saskatoon March 9th, was solid Church, putting a new feel to country music and blowing the roof off the venue. While the western swing unfolded, Calgary’s show became a 3 hour acoustic set due to snow. The man is on top of his game.
Get your head outta the clouds and into some music this weekend.
