Spent yesterday in Montmarte and I have to tell you that I’m very impressed with this great community. A small town atmosphere with a big city pride.
Located 1 hour east of Regina on Highway 48. Montmartre meets all your immediate needs and more with health services, accommodations, recreation, K-12 school, professional and personal services. There is a wide range of recreational amenities and variety of events throughout the year to keeps residents busy.
I t was exciting to see a new residential subdivision that will reflect interest in this community and make opportunity’s a part of its growth.
One of the highlights of Montmartre is the expansive Kemoca Regional Park which is situated adjacent to the Village. This Park is a buzz of activity all summer long with activities such as baseball, camping, swimming, soccer, community events and family reunions (plus Frizzbee golf). The Park features a very busy swimming pool, a campground, a canopy-roofed picnic area that seats 200, a new playground, and a 1.35 kilometer walking trail.
I also have to give a shout out to our friends at Chittronics for letting me broadcast on their driveway. Greatly appreciated.
When the broadcast was done I was off to the Englots about 5 miles south of Montmartre and like all the other cookouts the hospitality was second to none. Norm & Loretta thank you sooo much for letting us disrupt your peaceful setting. Our 620 CKRM extended family of Markusson New Holland / Warner Industries / Peg’s Kitchen and The Tap Brewhouse with out your involvement none of this would be possible.
Justin Labrash I can’t say enough about your growth in the music industry. Your country roots run as deep and as big as your heart and we thank you for representing 620 CKRM. Keep it Country Lumsden Kid! I love the current single.
A bunch of photos are coming but we are having some technical difficulties……please stand by!
