A Regina company has been ordered to pay 40-thousand dollars after a worker had several fingers cut off while removing debris from a wood peeler.
Aallcann Wood Suppliers Incorporated was in Prince Albert Provincial Court on August 25.
Charges stemmed from an incident that took place on October 29, 2015, near Prince Albert.
The worker had several fingers severed when coming into contact with rotating teeth on the machinery..
The hand is the most commonly injured body part according to WorkSafe Saskatchewan.
