The University of Regina Rams were looking to start the Canada West football season at 2-0, but the University of Calgary Dinos had other ideas.
The Dinos beat the Rams 46-26 in Calgary Friday night thanks to a balanced offensive display that kept Regina on its heels defensively.
Hunter Karl had two touchdown catches for the winners. He also added a 3rd TD when he ran in a fake field goal late in the 4th quarter.
Noah Picton threw three TD passes in a losing cause for the Rams. They will be back in action Saturday. September 16 against the University of Alberta in a 1 PM start at Mosaic Stadium.
