Big news for the Riders Monday as they have announced they have signed linebacker Jeff Knox Junior.
He returns to the team after failing in an attempt to hook on with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 6-foot-2, 225 pound Knox spent his first two seasons as a professional football player in Saskatchewan/ Last year, he had 65 tackles and 20 special teams tackles in 17 games. In 2015, he was named the team’s nominee for most outstanding player, top defensive player, and rookie of the year after having a season that saw him set a team record for tackles in one season with 114.
The Riders are back on the field Monday after their 20 point loss in Winnipeg Saturday as they have a short week with a game in Hamilton on Friday.
