A man from Winnipeg accused in Regina’s first homicide of the year was in a Regina court room on Friday.
31-year old Johnathen Kakewash appeared in Regina provincial court on a first-degree murder charge related to the death of 51-year old Daniel Dipaolo.
Dipaolo was found dead inside a home on the 700 block of Garnet Street on April 29.
In June, Police issued a Canada-wide search warrant for Kakewash.
However, on August 4th, he was arrested on weapons-related charges in Winnipeg.
In a release, Police said once the charges in Winnipeg were finished, he would be arrested and charged in connection with Dipaolo’s death.
