The Regina Pats will kick off the WHL season Friday night in Brandon with the two teams coming back to the Brandt Centre Saturday for the home opener of its 100th anniversary season—a season which will end with the Mastercard Memorial Cup in May.
CEO Stacey Cattell says there will be lots to do before the puck drops Saturday including a pre-game barbecue that starts at 4:30. That barbecue, which Harvard Broadcasting is a co-sponsor of, will go inside Banner Hall.
Cattell is advising all fans to be in their seats early as with it being the home opener, there will be a special video presentation to not only mark that, but the team’s 100th Anniversary season which will be capped off with the Memorial Cup in May.
Cattell adds it will be the first in a series of special nights at the rink to celebrate that 100th Anniversary season.
