A 24-year-old Regina woman is facing half a dozen criminal charges as the result of an investigation into a weapons offence which occurred the evening of Monday, September 18..
On Tuesday, plainclothes officers were in a North Regina neighbourhood, conducting surveillance on a vehicle believed to have been used in a weapons offence the night before.
Canine members also assisted in the surveillance.
The suspect vehicle sped off, heading south in the 200 block of Lorne Street North.
The driver — identified as a person wanted on warrants — was observed ignoring stop signs and reaching speeds well in excess of the posted limit.
When the suspect got caught in traffic at a train crossing, Police were able to move in and safely make the arrest.
A search of the vehicle yielded a quantity of methamphetamine and stolen property (identification documents) from a robbery on Monday, September 18th
