A new development in the Regina`s North west side became a lot closer to reality Tuesday night.
The Rosewood Park Concept Plan was on display to the public at Rosewood Park Alliance Church, with representatives of the developer on hand to answer questions.
Jason Petrunia is the Senior Planner for SvN, the company in charge of the development.
He says there is already places to attract new home buyers to the area.
“One of the big attraction points for this community is the social hub, “Petrunia says. “As most of Regina probably knows, we have got an almost complete joint-use school, we’re just waiting to complete the park at the back of it. It opened this fall, so that’s one of the social facilities that are part of what will be the social hub in this neighborhood. ”
Petrunia says it is important for this plan to get underway.
“This is a new development unlike (other) developments which has been typically done in the City Regina which is usually by three or four developers which has really been responsible for the look and feel of the city for the last five to 15 years. What we’re looking to do is to change that.”
Petrunia says the optimistic outlook sees the development complete 10 or 12 years from now.
