October is Agriculture month in Saskatchewan, with the theme, Our Food Has a Story.
Agriculture minister Lyle Stewart is encouraging farmers to reach out to consumers to tell their story about food production.
He says the themes around food include affordable, healthy and safe.
“We think those are very topical,” Stewart said. “Those are the questions on people’s minds. Is the food healthy and nutritious? Are we doing this in an affordable way?”
The agriculture ministry has launched a publicity campaign to talk about food production in this province through social media and several public events.
