A firearm incident over the weekend has resulted in two people facing several charges.
A 35-year old man and a 37-year old woman were arrested after someone pointed a firearm in the 1300 block of Garnet Street.
According to Regina Police, it happened Saturday night, just before 10:00 p.m.
Reports coming into police say someone was pointing what appeared to be a shotgun in that area. Another report says there may have been two shots fired.
Officers set up a safety perimeter and around 11:45 p.m., a man came out of the house and was taken into custody without incident.
About five minutes later, a woman left the house and was also safely taken into custody.
Officers entered the home and found an air rifle. The house was searched and officers then found a loaded SKS rifle, on a pile of clothing in the basement.
They seized the rifle and ammunition. There were also five children present in the house at the time.
25-year old Shawn Ronald Deiter was in court Monday.
