Is there anything wrong with saying “no”.
I’ve made a choice to step away from an organization. I’ve been apart of this for a couple of years. I am aware of the benefits of the group but just find that my time is running pretty lean. I need to take back a bit of “Gloria” time.
How many people feel that way, a lot. It is tough to say no, especially when you know the people doing the asking.
For as long as I’ve been involved in radio I have failed to sign up with service clubs. These organizations do great work within the communities – there’s no denying this.
It is easier at times to help out from our radio position than it is to be totally entrenched in the club or organization.
So, while I may step away from one and get involved deeper in another cause, never doubt that radio can help send your message out.
