The position of Saskatchewander is now open for applications for the 2018 season.
The Saskatchewanderer posts their travels around the province on social media, and aims to showcase Saskatchewan as the best place to lice, work, and play.
Andrew Hiltz was the 2017 Saskatchewanderer.
He says it’s a highlight in his life.
“Definitely been the quickest year of my life, without question, and there’s no arguing it’s been the best year as well. There’s been so many people, so many incredible activities, this province has continued to surprise me day after day for the entire stretch of the year so far.”
The Saskatchewanderer program has been in existence since 2011.
Hiltz says it does involve a fair amount of work.
“Expect to spend a lot of time on the road, expect to be meeting all sorts of new people, and also expect to spend a lot of time on the computer,” Hiltz says. “I think a lot of people see all the fun and activities and stuff that we do as Saskatchewanderers, but there is a lot of time that goes behind the computer. If you enjoy that kind of thing then you will absolutely love this job because it is the perfect mix of both.”
Applications to become the next Saskatchewanderer will be accepted until November 10th.
