A 53 year old man who used to be the news director for the CTV affiliate in Winnipeg is facing charges for three bank robberies in Regina.
Steve Vogelsang is already facing two charges of robbery after two banks were robbed in Medicine Hat, but he is now facing three more robbery charges, and three counts of breach of recognizance related to incidents in Regina.
On July 8th, a bank on the 2400 block of 7th Avenue North was the victim of a robbery. That was followed by another one October 13 on the 4100 block of Albert Street and one on October 18 on the 3000 block of Gordon Road. Police say in all three cases, a man came into the bank, told employees he had a weapon, demanded money and left.
Vogelsang is to appear next week in court in connection with the Medicine Hat robberies. It is not known when he will appear in a Regina courtroom.
