A small group of visually-impaired kids were able to do some early trick-or-treating at Saskatchewan`s Legislature on Monday.
CNIB Saskatchewan used the opportunity to offer their thanks to the provincial government for continuing to help the CNIB with their funding.
Christall Beaudry, Executive Director of CNIB Saskatchewan, says the money the province provides will go a long way.
“This is significant,” Beaudry said. “Because, no longer do we have to rely on a fund-raising event in order to provide that critical independent safety, mobility and instruction for our clients. And it allows us to do other things to focus on quality of life for those who are blind or partially sighted.”
There are 14 thousand, 3 hundred people in Saskatchewan who are blind or partially sighted.
