Saskatchewan Senator Raynell Andreychuk was in Saskatoon Wednesday hearing concerns over proposed federal tax changes
The Senator says the plan is to put a report forward to the government, based on the input they’ve received from Canadians.
She says the Senate Committee’s purpose isn’t necessarily to provide roadblocks, but rather facilitate change.
“When the bill comes, of course we are a legislative body,” Andreychuk said. “So, we’ll have to deal with what will be the final result. And then we’ll have to study the bill.”
The Senate Commitee is travelling across-Canada to hear how the changes to the income tax act will affect private corporations.
The committee has heard 60 presentations in Ottawa and Western Canada
Andreychuk says she will make recommendations on December 15th.
