Regina police say one man is in custody after a weapons offence Thursday afternoon.
In a release, police say around 12:30 pm, a report was received about a man with a firearm entering a home on the 600 block of McIntosh. That home was known to the man.
No one was hurt, and the suspect left the home.
The investigation led members to another home on the 4600 block of 4th Avenue where police negotiated with him before taking him safely into custody.
A nearby school was placed in secure-the-building mode as a precaution during the negotiation with staff and school resource officers helping in the dismissal of students.
The investigation is ongoing, and details related to charges will be made public once they are available.
