Yesterday morning I was supposed to take Max over to get his haircut. His hair is getting a little shaggy and trying to get all of the snow off his paws when he comes back in the house after being let out is getting to be a royal pain in the you-know-where! The snow sticks to everything and no matter how well we wipe his feet off there are still little clumps of ice that litter the kitchen floor and the living room every time he comes back in. This boy needs a cut.
I booked his appointment earlier in the week and was warned by Janelle at Kreative Kutz that it might not work out because of her back. Apparently, she’s had some back issues and a dog the size of Max would just make it worse. As a matter of fact, she’s cancelled all appointments with big dogs for the time being. She told me she’d let me know how her back was feeling the morning of the appointment. Well, she let me know, and this morning Max still has his shaggy coat.
So, yesterday I booked Max in with a different groomer. The trouble is, I can’t get him in for a couple of weeks. Oh well, it’s not like it’s life or death. Another couple of weeks won’t hurt anything.
I’ll just have to remind myself of that every time I have to clean his feet off!
