An employee at a Giant Tiger store in Regina has been suspended after a man took a video of the staff member following him around the store as he shopped.
The video, which was posted to Facebook on Friday, has been viewed more than 225 thousand times and has left commenters accusing the employee of racial profiling.
In a press release issued Saturday, Giant Tiger says that the incident in the video is a direct contradiction to its brand values and should never have occurred.
Giant Tiger says it’s a direct contradiction of its brand values as well as policy.
