Old man winter has finally struck the prairies, specifically Southern Saskatchewan.
Most of bottom half of the province is experiencing extremely cold temperatures, and will continue to do so for the time being.
Some areas are no longer under an extreme cold warning as of Wednesday morning such as Prince Albert, Lloydminster, Maple Creek and Shaunavon.
Environment Canada still advises staying indoors unless needed, but if people do go outside they are to layer up.
Those partaking in travel are advised to keep an emergency kit with booster cables and extra blankets in their vehicle.
Frostbite can develop within minutes in such weather, so covering any exposed skin will also be critical in temperatures of this nature.
