Regina Fire crews were called out to an apartment building blaze 1304 Halifax Street Thursday
According to Police, the call came in close to 7:30 A.M. Police and EMS attended the scene.
Halifax Street was blocked off for a short while while emergency crews worked on the fire.
The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with Regina Fire and Protective Services, is investigating the fire.
The building was occupied at the time, but, there are no reports of injuries.
According to a police report, a Regina Police Service member assisted on this call and did a check for any residents who may have been inside.
The officer assisted two people, believed to be from a third-floor apartment, out of the building, before the smoke made it impossible to remain inside.
The Regina Police Service and Regina Fire and Protective Services will continue in their respective roles in this investigation.
