13 years ago today (January 11) Apple unveiled a product that really took off for about 10 years thanks to the always evolving, never stop changing, technology industry.
The iPod Shuffle came out out on this day in 2005 and it soon became the must have product for gym users, runners, and everyday people to jam out with their favourite tunes. For a few years interviewers chatting with celebrities loved asking the question “So, who’s on your iPod these days?” Gradually that question became less and less over the years (thankfully) but it was a product that so many used and wanted, especially for Christmas!
As the digital age and people’s tastes changed and evolved over the years the iPod became less relevant. Eventually, there were four generations of the iPod created but in the fast paced world of technology, the iPod Shuffle was discontinued this past July. I never did get an iPod. If I wanted to listen to music I just turned the radio on! It takes me awhile to embarce technology it seems.
It’s scary to think that the iPod Shuffle may soon be in a museum! Regardless many are still in circulation and continue to be used (kind of like how I still use a VCR). Do you still have and use an iPod Shuffle?
