Saskatchewan residents concerned about the potential water flow from the Quill Lakes into Last Mountain Lake are taking their fight to the next level.
The Saskatchewan Alliance for Water Sustainability is gathering signatures for a federal E-petition to garner the attention of the Federal government on this issue.
Spokesperson Aura-Lee MacPherson says the organization just wants to do this the right way.
“We just want to bring attention to the federal government that we are concerned about Saskatchewan and our water,” she says. “When you mix two bodies of water than haven’t mixed together for 10,000 years, you’re affecting your footprint for several generations.”
