The Regina Pats picked up their third straight win and moved two points closer to third-place Brandon in the WHL’s Eastern Division Wednesday night in Prince Albert.
Matt Bradley scored twice to give him 29 on the season as Regina doubled up Prince Albert 4-2 to make it five wins in five games over their Eastern Division rival this season.
Ryan Kubic continues to impress in a Pats uniform. The goaltender, acquired at the trade deadline from Saskatoon, stopped 35 of 37 shots to record the win.
The victory improves the Pats record to 24-19-0. The result combined with a Brandon loss in Spokane means Regina is just seven points back of the Wheat Kings.
The Pats, who are making an announcement about their hockey operations staff on Thursday morning, will be home Friday to take on the Moose Jaw Warriors in what will be the first game between the two since the trade deadline.
