Those heading towards Saskatoon or the Battlefords on Thursday should be aware of a snowfall warning issued by Environment Canada.
The weather office says a low pressure system from southern Alberta is moving into Saskatchewan which could result in 10-15 centimeters of snow falling on the Saskatoon, Battlefords and Prince Albert areas.
This area of snow will continue moving eastward and this snowfall warning may be extended towards the Manitoba boundary for heavy snowfall for Friday.
This weather system will also bring unseasonably mild temperatures today and patchy freezing rain this evening to the southern Grainbelt.
Below normal temperatures will return to most of southern Saskatchewan for the weekend in the wake of this disturbance.
