Gerald Stanley has pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder.
Stanley did so this morning as his trial got underway with a jury being selected.
After pouring through many potential jurors over the morning, a seven-woman, five-man jury was selected.
Stanley is accused in the August 2016 death of 22 year old Colton Boushie.
The resident of the Red Pheasant First Nation was with four others when they ventured onto Stanley’s property.
Something happened with Boushie eventually being shot.
The trial is to go until February 15.
