There’s positive farm reaction to the election of Scott Moe as the leader of the SaskParty and the premier of Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan Stock Growers president Shane Jahnke says Moe will make an excellent Premier.
He says Moe is well aware of important farm issues in this province.
Jahnke says “He has been a strong advocate for agriculture and will stand up to Ottawa and the proposed carbon tax”
The chair of the Western Wheat Growers, Jim Wickett, says Moe has a good grasp of urban as well as rural issues in Saskatchewan.
Wickett is also happy to see Moe is willing to battle Ottawa over the carbon tax plan.
