The Regina Pats picked up their 29th win of the season Saturday night.
24 hours after putting in a less than stellar effort in a loss to Kootenay, the Pats rebounded by knocking off the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-2 at the Brandt Centre.
Max Paddock (pictured) was strong between the pipes for Regina as he stopped 33 of 35 shots sent his way while Sam Steel, Cale Fleury, Jake Leschyshyn and Libor Hajek led the way offensively with all four players contributing two points.
The victory leaves Regina six ahead of Saskatoon in the battle for the first wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference with Regina sitting just two points of 3rd place Brandon in the Eastern Division.
Regina looks to put a little more room between themselves and the Blades in the battle for that first wild-card spot Sunday afternoon in Saskatoon when the two teams meet at SaskTel Centre in a 4 o’clock start in a game we will have on 620 CKRM starting with the pre-game show at 3:35.
