A local hockey organization is getting some national exposure.
The Outdoor Hockey League will be featured on next weekend’s nationally televised broadcast of Hometown Hockey. The organization provides kids with free hockey gear so they can participate in organized hockey.
Taylor Ward is the interim manager of Ehrlo Sport Venture, the company running the OHL. She’s hopeful the exposure will give people more insight as to the opportunity it not only provides for kids, but for adults too.
“It’s a great for our community to get involved with coaching, tying skates,” she notes.
“Every rink needs a helping hand and it’s just a great opportunity to give back to your community that you live and the kids that live in this area, growing and the kids that will develop into our future adults.”
For those interested, a celebration is taking place until 4 pm Saturday, February 10th at the Rosemont Rink.
