A Western Canadian company is doing their part to help Saskatchewan families put food on the table.
Nutrien matched the first 500 thousand dollars donated to a Food Banks of Saskatchewan fundraising campaign, bringing the total amount raised to $2.2 million.
Rhonda Speiss says this donation falls right in line with the company’s core values.
“Giving back to the community has been part of the DNA of our company for years,” said Speiss. “It has been for Agrium as well. It continues to be important for us supporting our communities, right here in our own backyard.”
Speiss notes the money will be used to aid 30 different food banks across the province.
