Farmers and agribusiness are being encouraged to get involved in Canada’s Agriculture Day on Tuesday.
The inaugural event was held last year, and trended in the top five on Twitter.
Candace Hill, is the Manager of Agriculture More Than Ever, one of the driving forces behind Canada’s Agriculture Day.
Hill said the goal is to bring together everyone in the agriculture sector across Canada.
“The intent of the day is to bring together farmers, people who work in agriculture, agriculture industry groups, and encourage them to share their story, celebrate the food we love and create a closer connection with people outside of agriculture about where our food comes from,” Hill said.
Hill added, the message will be spread mainly through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
