The first 3D printed camper in the world is almost finished printing in Saskatoon.
Create Cafe 3D Printing Solutions, is where the printing is taking place.
Owner of Create Cafe, Randy Jones says him and his team have already broken a world record for the biggest indoor print in history.
Jones adds he’s looking forward to when the printing is done so that the detail stage can begin with adding cushions for the chairs.
The printing for the 13 foot camper is expected to have wrapped up on Friday.
Jones’ team also had some help from students at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
The Program head and an instructor for the Mechanical Engineering programs created the printing nozzles with applied research that were able to print the camper known as “The Wave”.
Jones is hopeful after a couple of “cooling days” for the plastic that the public will be able to come in and see the world’s first 3D printed camper at Create Cafe.
