You might have noticed how the sleep schedule has taken a hit over the last couple of weeks, courtesy of the Winter Olympics in South Korea! Once you start, its hard to quit watching.
My Olympic experience is firing up television for a quick up date in the morning, going to work, checking the daily schedule, watch the competition while doing my job. A quick “refresh” in the afternoon while South Korea sleeps. Back at it approximatley 6pm because Pyeong Chang comes alive! Canadians claim more hardware and we are set for the peak Olympic moments! That thirteen and a half hour time difference is a real game changer!
One day of Olympic action stretches two days here! I think the coverage we are receiving is incredible.
I’m a fan of how Canada is getting into it and really, would you not love to be there! The video that caught Canada’s, Scott Moir cheering on the women’s hockey team is priceless and I wish we all shared that passion. He’s the guy you want to have sitting next to you during a Gold Medal game! He’s awesome and hey owns his own Olympic hardware!
Dear Canada, we have left some hardware on the table and that’s a bit unnerving.
This final weekend Men’s Hockey will fight for the Bronze medal after a disappointing game this morning. Mark McMorris will battle his death defying experience to strive to reach Gold status. The face of curling will see new champions crowned and I cannot wait!
Canadians identify with this cycle of the Olympics – even when we complain about the cold, when it comes right down to it, this country excels on ice and snow!
If you’re on social media, enjoy the athletes as they post their experiences. Our 2018 Canadian Olympic team is filled with amazing talent, great ambassadors to the country, you can’t help but love what is going on in South Korea!
I’ll sleep when this is all over!!!
