A teen girl who plead guilty to second degree murder in a baby boy’s death will be sentenced as an adult.
A decision was made Tuesday afternoon in a Saskatoon courtroom. This means the teen will receive a sentence of life in prison without a chance of parole for seven years.
Nikosis Jade Cantre was six weeks old when he died in a Saskatoon hospital after an injury sustained at home in July of 2016.
The teen, who was 16 at the time, had fled from an open custody facility where she was serving a four month sentence.
