Regina Police responded to a suspicious package call just before 7:30 Thursday morning, and have now determined the package is not a safety risk.
Police closed off Hamilton Street between Sask Drive and 11th Avenue due to a suspicious package on the sidewalk.
Police then requested the use of the Explosives Disposal Unit, who then took over to examine the package, determining there was no threat to the public.
Police have dismantled the perimeter, and traffic is back up and running on the previously closed off block.
The origin of the package has been deemed non-criminal, and no charges will be laid in this incident.
