A Lampman Saskatchewan family has made a large donation to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Ron and Shirley Carson decided to contribute one-million-dollars to the provinces first hospital dedicated to children.
Ron Carson said they decided to make the donation to simply give back to a community that helped his business grow from just eight employees in 1974.
“We had about 17 facilities working in the oil industry and this is just my way of trying to give back to the communities that supported our company over the years,” Carson.
The Carson’s donation will support a family space and kitchen located just outside the pediatric intensive care and observation unit.
Ron also said he would like to contribute more in the future.
