It’s a new year in the Saskatchewan legislature and it appears both sides are in a collaborative mood.
“We have a number of initiatives that I look forward to working with the opposition and the oppositions caucus on,” said Moe, noting drug issues and the government’s goal to balance the budget next year as two primary objectives.
During the first sitting yesterday, Premier Scott Moe, participating in first sitting as both party and province leader, made it clear he’s excited to work with the NDP to make Saskatchewan better now and in future.

For his part, Ryan Meili also echoed a message of unity and eagerness to work together. He said he’s looking forward to having fruitful discussions with the Premier on the important issues affecting Saskatchewan.
“I look forward to working with you on the areas where we agree and to a vigorous debate in the areas where we disagree,” said Meili.
“This is a welcoming sentiment, and it’s what that I share.”
