First off, congratulations to all the new mothers out there! Whether this is your first child or your last child I’m sure you’ve experienced those strange food cravings. In some cases, it can be the opposite where one doesn’t want to eat certain things anymore.
According to new research from babycentre.com says some cravings can go beyond food and stretch into materials like clay and even soil! They call that Pica. Other studies have found a link between weird cravings and a lack of iron in the diet. While that’s not official and more research is required, we all know about those food crazy moments and cravings.
I sometimes think odd cravings are not just linked to pregnancy. Men get odd them too! Well, I do at least. One really odd craving stands out and I’m ashamed I tried it. It could have been a young, poor bachelor decision at the time as well. Somebody showed me a picture of an ichiban noodle hamburger. Essentially, it’s those packaged noodles cooked into two separate circles with a burger patty in between with all the usual burger fixin’s of cheese, ketchup, mustard, relish, etc. I craved it! I tried it! It was terrible! Let’s just say noodles, ketchup, and mustard don’t like each other. Below is a picture and you’ll notice I didn’t quite get the noodle “buns” as circular as I hoped.
Anyway, good luck dealing with your strange food cravings and if you find an odd combo that actually works and tastes good, then feel free to email me. I may just try it.
Have a great weekend!
