Small towns do it better.
Exercise, that is.
The town of Kenaston has won $10,000 from Saskatchewan Blue Cross 2018 Go Out and Play Challenge, as a result of collecting nearly 420,000 minutes totaled of physical activity.
Saskatchewan In Motion’s Kim Herpinger said small towns support causes like this better than many think.
“One of the things that we have noticed over the seven years that we have done this is that it’s never a larger community that wins,” said Herpinger. “As a matter of fact, the largest communities that have done this have the least success.”
“I think it’ just that in a small community, it’s easier to rally the folks together for a common cause.”
