The Edmonton Oil Kings will pick first at the WHL Bantam Draft.
The six non-playoff teams held a lottery on Wednesday to determine who would pick where and while the Kootenay Ice had their ping-pong ball selected, they can only move up a maximum of two spots meaning they will pick second with the Oil Kings, who had the fewest points in the league this season, will pick first.
The order for the first six selections will see Edmonton, Kootenay, Prince Albert, Calgary, Kamloops and Saskatoon.
The Raiders get the number three pick from Prince George after a trade that saw defenceman Brendan Guhle go to the Cougars for the first-round pick and current Raiders defenceman Max Martin.
The Pats do not have a first round pick because of the trade last year that brought Josh Mahura to the team.
The WHL bantam draft will go in Red Deer May 3.
