There continues to be uproar when it comes to the Colten Boushie murder case, as Gerald Stanley’s legal team has been contacting book publishing companies to exhibit Stanley’s side of the story.
Stanley was accused of murdering Boushie on Stanley’s farm outside of Biggar, after Boushie and his friends drove onto Stanley’s farm. Stanley was later found not guilty.
One of Stanley’s lawyers has now confirmed the legal office has made inquiries to book publishers because their client wants to set the public record straight.
Backlash from Boushie’s family has followed, with Boushie’s cousin Jade Tootoosis accusing Stanley of attempting to profit from the death of the 22 year-old from the Red Pheasant First Nation.
FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron has also responded, telling Stanley to quote “give his head a shake.”
