The Regina Humane Society’s biggest fund-raiser of the year goes Sunday night.
From 6 until 10, the society’s annual telethon takes place with many different things planned over the four hours including a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on at the shelter with plenty of adoptable pets being showcased as well.
Humane Society spokesperson Bill Thorn says they have set a lofty goal, but one he thinks Reginans can meet.
“We have a target of $60,000, which is a little bit higher than we did last year, we always want to try and ‘raise the bar,’ if you will.”
The telethon, which will air on Access Communications Channel 7 and be live-streamed on their website, and according to Thorn, will have many different features for you to check out.
“We try and jam-pack it with as much information as we can,” Thorn says. “Lot’s of entertainment too; if you’ve seen it before, Rory Allen has been a part of the show for years, he’s going to join us again, and a new addition on he entertainment side this year, is country singer Chris Henderson.”
Donations can be made now by going to the Humane Society’s website.
